This is it!    In this very moment it is possible to already begin practicing mindful smiling with the  Blue Ocean Sangha. We are a lay Buddhist community that practices the art of mindful living by following the teachings of Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.

We provide a resource for study and practice of
Applied Buddhism, which means that we apply Buddhist teachings to our daily lives in order to learn to be peaceful and not allow life to drift away without meaning.  People of all faiths are welcomed and, in fact, encouraged to continue practicing in their root spiritual traditions if they so desire.   

Due to COVID-19 and Miami-Dade state of emergency regulations, we will NOT be meeting in person until further notice.

We meet:

  • in South Beach every SUNDAY from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miami Life Center, 736 6th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139 (metered and garage parking available nearby).

Feel free to bring your favorite blanket and meditation cushion.  Bolsters, blankets and chairs are available as well.
